Noblesse Oblige

Ignoring my being single on Valentine's Day, I've put up two entries this afternoon. The first is of an excellent recent series called Eden of the East. I remember hearing a lot of positive buzz about it when it came out last year but only recently did I get around to watching it, and now I'm really looking forward to the movies. The animation and set design is gorgeous, the chemistry between the protagonists feels natural, and it presents some interesting ideas on technology, people, and the roles of both in society.
The goals of today's second entry aren't quite as lofty. Mugen Shinshi - Boken Katsugeki Hen, an obscure one-shot OAV from 1987, follows the story of a child detective, his demonically strong butler, and the case they investigate of young girls being kidnapped by stereotypically Chinese villians. While not anything special, I love this kind of stuff just because of its obscurity and because it's an interesting look back in time.
