As the Summer Ends, You'll Fall for these Girls

Our first update of the fall brings us sixteen characters (who probably have an average age of sixteen as well - such are the ways of anime). First up we have the early 80s series Igano Kabamaru, an amusing but only slightly above average comedy series starring a fish-out-of-water ninja plucked from his home and relocated to Tokyo. I never thought I'd see a Flashdance reference in anime, but there it was.
Next is the recent Gainax offering Medaka Box, a story about the newly elected student council president and her unending dedication to solving campus problems. While it started out a little slow, it picked up steam by the end and I'm looking forward to the second season which will be airing in the coming weeks.
Third is Ai Mai! Moe Can Change!, one of those throwaway single episode OAVs meant as fanservice for the game upon which it is based, but I'm a sucker for moe so I watched it anyway. Clocking in at under a half hour, it was enjoyable and cute enough to get by.
Lastly, I have added Sora Yuuki to the .hack entry, as she appears in the most recent property in the franchise, .hack//The Movie.
In other news, work on the next version of the site has stalled, but it's almost ready to go and I'm hoping to get it launched by the end of the year. Wish us luck!
